Tours
The GVYO’s most recent tour was to the Yukon Territory in May, 2006, as part of their 20th Anniversary celebrations. Concerts and workshops were held for audiences and countless school students in Whitehorse, Dawson City, and Haines Junction. The GVYO has also performed throughout Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland, Okanagan, Northern Mainland, and (in 2001) Haida Gwaii.

Collaborations
The GVYO has collaborated with the Victoria Symphony on numerous occasions to
perform the following great works: Holst The Planets, Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique, Tchaikovsky Sleeping Beauty Suite, Chatman
Crimson Dream, Elgar Enigma Variations, Mahler
Symphony No. 1.
In January, 2009, the GVYO will join the Victoria Symphony once again to perform
Strauss’ Alpine Symphony!
The GVYO has also collaborated with the UVIC Orchestra and Chorus to perform
Mahler’s Symphony of A Thousand. The Youth Orchestra has collaborated with
Pearson College (Larkin Commission), CapriCCio (Bernstein Chichester Psalms),
VIVA Youth Choirs and UVIC Chamber Choir (Carmina Burana).

Command Performances
The GVYO has had the honour of performing for Governor-General Adrienne Clarkson, Lieutenants-Governor David Lam, Iona Campagnolo, and Steven L. Point.
